Patna DPO Arun Kumar Mishra suspended, education department took big action due to this

Patna: Patna district DPO Arun Kumar Mishra has been suspended. He has been accused of negligence. Arun Kumar Mishra is accused of ignoring the order of the Education Department. However, during the suspension, he will get admissible subsistence allowance. The action has been taken on the inspection report of Special Secretary Dr. Satish Chandra Jha.

According to the information received, Arun Kumar Mishra of Patna district DPO has been suspended with immediate effect. During the suspension period, his headquarters has been fixed as the office of Patna Division Regional Education Deputy Director. During the suspension period, they will get admissible subsistence allowance. The charge sheet and departmental action resolution will be issued separately.

A resolution in this regard was signed by Director (Administration) and Additional Secretary of Education Department Subodh Kumar Chaudhary. The Education Department has taken this action on the inspection report of Special Secretary Dr. Satish Chandra Jha. During the inspection of the District Education Officer’s Office, Patna, the Special Secretary examined the files related to the payment of maternity leave and arrears of salary etc. received from the teachers and employees.

On the other hand, during the course of investigation, it was found that before the execution of the claims and payment of the teachers, the work of the concerned clerks should have been reviewed from the applications received and other relevant documents, which was not done by the DPO. For this, review meetings were also required to be held from time to time. But, no evidence of monitoring or review meeting was presented during the course of inspection.
